MB Treasurista Get Organized Challenge

Hello my fellow bloggers,
It has been awhile since I posted anything on my blog. Today is the last day of MB Treasurista's Getting Organized Challenge and I thought I would post a couple of things that I did in my craft room.

First I took an empty glass jar that had whole mushrooms in it and decorated it with doilies, buttons, paper and twine and then took my decorative buttons out of all their individual packages and stored them inside of it and I keep it handy on my craft desk:

Second I took my individual clear small stamps that I kept organized in an old biscuit tin in a jumble mess and put them into a cheap 4x6 photo album that I bought on clearance at Walmart. This allows me the ability to see what stamps I have available much easier and hopefully I will use them more:

So head on over to today and enter your ideas for a chance to win a clip it up. Thanks for stopping by.

And here is my project for the blog hop:
I took a wooden sign from Michaels and painted it Antique Mum

On the picket fence I glued down Prima's Nature Garden  papers and fussy cut the fairy girl from the paper for the corner.

I then covered it with crochet lace, chipboard  butterflies, flowers and crystal sprays .

More recollection flowers, crystal sprays and lace trim

I applied Gesso on top of the flowers and chipboard elements

This is a chipboard Recollections butterfly and sparkly lace trim

This will be a welcome sign for my front door.

The bottom half of the sign.

The top half. I painted it with Martha Stewart's stucco paint and applied fussy cut images from the Prima paper. The wooden letters, I colored with  brushed corduroy distress ink. They are from Pink Paislee.

More flowers and bling.

CCL Spring Blog Hop

I am going to participate in my first ever blog hop (yay?). I am a little nervous but I am willing to give it a go and try new things. Below is  info on the hop and I hope if you are reading this post you will remember to return at the end of March and join us. They have blog candy and I will  personally have my own blog candy too. Thanks for looking.

Well, the eyes of March are upon us. I cannot believe it is March already. We have been having a lot of rain lately here (over 9 inches for February), but we have needed it. The daffodils are up and blooming along with my irises and forsythia. I have been busy participating in several swaps at Creating the Crafty Life. If you are interested in a place to share ideas, obtain new skills, chat or just need a crafty home give them a try.
Here is a link to the website:

The following are some pics of cards I just completed recently. Feel free to leave me a comment on them. I used Kaisercraft's Secret Admirer papers and embellishments from and Michaels.

Thanks for looking and hope you are having a great day.
